Things to Do - Cereal Box Boomerang

What You Need:
An empty cereal box
Scissors
What to Do:
Use the template to recycle your favorite cereal box and make a boomerang that will return to you!

1. Print out the template (click here to download). Place template on the inside of an empty cereal box and cut out.
2. Make a slight crease down the center of each "wing" of your boomerang to make it into an airfoil with lift.
3. Hold the boomerang with the top of the wing toward you.
4. Throw straight forward with a flick of the wrist to make it spin.
5. Throw almost vertical and the boomerang will circle around for an easy catch. It will make a circle of about 4-6 feet, and should be thrown in a large room or outside on a calm day.

Activity from Master Design Boomerangs/Kendall Davis. For more information about boomerang design, go to www.master-designs.com.
